Old Town's neighborhood hub
Your neighborhood table — come as you are
Cooking classes, arts programs, wellness, and community meals for everyone in Old Town — rooted in a decade of feeding thousands.
years feeding Old Town — and counting
This started with a belief: when we share what we have, there will always be enough.
Feed the Mass began in Old Town with a simple act — cooking food and sharing it with whoever showed up. No prerequisites. No means-testing. No applications. Week after week, that table grew until we were feeding 7,000 people each week from this neighborhood.
What we learned along the way changed everything. People didn't just want a meal. They wanted to cook — to learn the recipes their grandmothers made, to teach their kids something real, to grow a plant from seed. They wanted a place to make things, to be well, to start something of their own. They wanted a neighborhood that felt like a neighborhood.
Nourish is our answer. A gathering place where cooking education, arts programming, wellness, and small business support all live under one roof — not as charity, but as what a community simply does for itself. The table is set. Pull up a chair.

Everything a neighborhood needs — under one roof
Learn to cook — and teach others
Our kitchen is for everyone: weeknight dinners for the working family, traditional recipes shared across generations, beginner knife skills and seasonal cooking. Classes are affordable by design. The kitchen table is the oldest classroom there is.

Find your table
Browse a weekly schedule of cooking classes, open studio sessions, wellness workshops, and community meals. Some things are ticketed and affordable. Many are free. All are designed so that cost is never the reason someone stays away.
Learn, make, share
Whether you're learning to make your grandmother's tamale recipe, throwing clay beside a neighbor you've never met, or bringing your meal prep idea to the kitchen incubator — Nourish is where the making actually happens.
Grow with the community
The more you show up, the more you shape what Nourish becomes. Neighbors teach neighbors. Skills get passed across tables. Small businesses find their first customers here. Community is a practice, not a product.
There is a table here for you — whoever you are
If you've never really learned to cook
Our kitchen classes start at the beginning — no experience assumed, no judgment at the door. You'll leave knowing how to feed yourself and the people you love.
If you grew up with a recipe that belongs to your family
Bring it. Share it. Teach it. Nourish is the place where traditional foods find new hands and stay alive in the neighborhood.
If you have a food business idea and nowhere to start
Our kitchen incubator and market tables exist for exactly this moment — the one between the dream and the first sale. We'll help you get there.
If you want to make something with your hands — anything
The studio is open for clay, print, fiber, paint, and whatever else neighbors want to make. No portfolio review, no juried admission.
If you're looking for a place your whole family belongs
Programs run for kids, parents, grandparents, and everyone between. The table here is genuinely big enough for everyone in Old Town.
If you just want to show up and see what's happening
That is enough. Nourish is a neighborhood place. Curiosity is always welcome.
What neighbors usually ask
Do I need to be from Old Town to come?
Nourish is rooted in Old Town but open to everyone. If you live, work, or spend time in the neighborhood — or if you just want to be part of what's happening here — you are welcome.
Are programs really affordable?
Affordability is a core principle, not a marketing line. We design our programs so that cost is never the reason a neighbor stays away. Many programs are free. Ticketed events are priced to be accessible. If you're ever unsure, reach out — we'll work something out.
Do I need any cooking experience to join a class?
No. Our kitchen classes are designed for all skill levels, including people who feel like they can't cook at all. The kitchen is a learning place, not a performance space.
What's the connection to Feed the Mass?
Feed the Mass has been feeding Old Town neighbors for over a decade — 7,000 people each week at its peak. Nourish grew directly from that work and those relationships. It's the same belief in a new form: a permanent gathering place for everything we discovered the neighborhood needs.
Can I rent space for my own event or business?
Yes. The kitchen incubator, studio space, and community room are all available to neighbors and small businesses. We offer affordable rates designed for early-stage ideas and community-minded projects. Get in touch to learn about availability.
